The Aqualung Helix is a regulator built on the core DNA that defines Aqualung's reputation — balanced performance, proven durability, and a design refined to last. Balanced on both first and second stages, it delivers consistent, responsive breathing at depth without the complexity of higher-end electronics or mechanisms, making it one of the most dependable mid-range systems available. Designed and made in France, it comes with a 2-year service interval and is paired here with the Helix Pro Octopus, a Miflex Xtreme BCD Hose, and your choice of Miflex gauge setup — everything you need to build a complete, capable breathing system from day one.
At the heart of the package is the Aqualung Helix Regulator Set. The first stage uses a balanced diaphragm design with Aqualung's Blue High Pressure Seat — a precision component that opens and closes with every breath, forming a reliable seal in all conditions and with all gases. Working pressure is automatically elevated to counteract increased breathing air density as you descend, ensuring consistent performance throughout the dive. Two HP ports and four MP ports are arranged in a clean "T" shape for streamlined hose routing, and a dust cap — attached directly to the regulator body — protects the inlet fitting when off the tank. Available in both DIN and Yoke configurations. The second stage features Cover Opening Channels with wide radial openings that allow water to flow sideways over the diaphragm, reducing cracking effort by 20% and actively resisting freeflows in strong currents. The Venturi Adjustment Switch gives precise control over airflow, moving from minimum resistance — ideal to prevent freeflow at the surface — to maximum assistance for effortless breathing at depth. The overmoulded ergonomic lever is operable even with gloves. A braided hose provides flexibility and easy packing for travel.
Completing the breathing system is the Aqualung Helix Pro Octopus — a high-performance backup second stage built to the same standard as the primary, with a pneumatically balanced valve for smooth breathing at all depths and an integrated heat exchanger to prevent icing of the valve inlet. Its high-visibility yellow hose and front cover make it fast to locate in an emergency. A dependable, easy-to-operate backup air source for you and your buddy.
Connecting your regulator to your BCD is the Miflex Xtreme BCD Hose, fitted with a standard 3/8" quick-release coupler suitable for most BCDs, wings and drysuits. Flexible, lightweight and flow-rate tested to EN 1809:2014 standards, it routes cleanly and reliably across any setup.
